Koh Tan is a low coral island south of Samui, known for shallow reefs that suit beginners. Pig Island (Koh Madsum) is known for its friendly pigs. Treat them as animals: follow your guide's instructions, don't feed them human food and keep an eye on children.

What you can do

What to bring
Reef-safe sunscreen (put it on before you get in the water), a hat, a swimsuit, a towel and a rashguard if you burn easily. A small dry bag helps. Take seasickness tablets if you are prone to motion sickness. Don't touch or stand on coral.
Best timing
Calm water gives the best visibility. The dry, calm months are generally the most comfortable, but the weather can change quickly, so we confirm timing closer to your date.
